Pregnancy Session - what to expect

Pregnany shoots are best captured at 30-35weeks.
This is when your bump will be nice & round which looks great in photos. Lovely Mums to Be at this time seem to feel the heat, so I suggest you wear light clothes that you are comfortable in. Plain, neutral, colours work well, no fussy patterns. Light, soft makeup is best & please ensure nails are looking glam as we often do a heart inspired shot. We also have some fab maternity dresses & accessories that you are welcome to use if desired. We will discuss with you the options for the shoot & will gently guide you through all the poses that will compliment your precious bump. Before your appointment day, we will send you a reminder with tips for your upcoming photo session. Please note a deposit of €50 is required to secure all bookings & the balance is due on the day of the shoot.
Newborn Session - what to expect
The best time for a Newborn shoot is when the baby is between 5-14 days old.
They tend to be more settled at this early age. A newborn shoot can take approx 1.5 - 2 hours depending on the baby as we need them nice & sleepy. We also offer older newborn shoots - contact us for more details. The studio will be quite hot to ensure the comfort and sleepiness of your baby as they love the high temperatures! So I suggest that parents wear light clothing themselves. Always bring a soother if you use one, baby muslin cloth & an extra bottle. We take as many little breaks as needed for baby feeding & changing etc. to keep the baby comfortable and happy. We provide a range of props, outfits & accessories to use for the shoot. Depending on what package you choose will determine the course & duration of the shoot. Before your appointment day, we will send you a reminder with tips for your upcoming photo session. Sitter Session:
Sitter sessions are suitable from when baby is approx 6+ months old when they can sit up confidently & un-aided. This is a special milestone and we start to see more of their personality at this age. They tend to be full of expressions which is just lovely to capture. Before your appointment day, we will send you a reminder with tips for your upcoming photo session. Please note a deposit of €50 is required to secure all bookings & the balance is due on the day of the shoot.
Cake Smash Sessions - what to expect!
The cake smash session is all about celebrating your baby’s first ever birthday in style.
The BIG ONE!
It’s the perfect time to capture this precious milestone moment in a unique, fun way! At the beginning of the session we will take a few birthday themed shots to ease baby into the shoot before the madness begins! Neutral, plain clothes look best on baby with no busy patterns or large stripes. Tutus, dungarees & shorts are quite popular choices, some even go with just the nappy as it does tend to get a bit messy so we advise you to bring a towel along with you. Don't forget to pack a soother too. Parents usually like to bring their own special outfit for the shoot & we do have some fun accessories available to use if desired along with themed props & backgrounds. The birthday cake supplied is a yummy sponge cake with a buttercream topping. (Check for food allergens for your baby). **It's important not to overstimulate your baby before the session and also ensure that they have had their nap beforehand so they will be in good spirits & not feeling tired. What to Wear!
A question clients always ask! What to wear?
When it comes to photo shoots think not just of appearance but also how you feel, you need to be comfortable in the outfit chosen. This is really important and will help you look relaxed in the images captured. Neutral, plain colours always work best. Block colours like black, white, grey are very popular. Jeans and a white t-shirt/top looks classic.
Some families may dress the girls in same or similar colour and boys in a different colour for fun. Its totally up to you. Avoid wearing anything with dots/stripes/words/logos or busy patterns as they are very distracting.
You want everyone to blend in and compliment each other. We would suggest to keep makeup natural/light looking, clean the nails and have your clothing crease free. We often recommend bare feet for family photos as it looks really nice as an option and has a timeless feel. Communion/Confirmation Session
This is such a special time to celebrate in your child's life. Very precious memories to have & cherish forever. Family members are welcome to join in the fun of the shoot for a few snaps. Bring along any items you have to personalise your shoot like rosary beads, communion book, accessories etc. Before your appointment day, we will send you a reminder with tips for your upcoming photo session.
